Terms of Service

These terms are an agreement between you and Splits ("Splits", "we", "us"). By creating an account or using the app, you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use Splits.

1. Who can use Splits

You must be at least 13 years old to use Splits. If you're under 18, you confirm that a parent or legal guardian has reviewed and agreed to these terms with you.

2. Not medical advice

Splits is for fun and general wellness only. It is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice, diagnosis or treatment. Scores and rankings are not health assessments. Always talk to a doctor or qualified health professional about any health concern, and never ignore professional advice or delay getting it because of something you saw in Splits.

3. Beta, provided "as is"

Splits is currently in beta. That means features may change, break or disappear, and data may occasionally be inaccurate or lost. The app is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement. We may change, pause or end the beta at any time.

4. Your account

You're responsible for your account and for keeping your login secure. Give us accurate information, and let us know at support@joinsplits.app if you think your account has been compromised.

5. Groups and sharing

Groups are invite-only. When you join a group, its members can see the data described in our Privacy Policy, including your sleep, HRV, resting heart rate, active calories, school and location. Only join groups with people you're comfortable sharing that with.

6. Play fair and be decent

Don't harass, bully or threaten other users; don't impersonate anyone; don't try to manipulate scores or access data that isn't yours; and don't use Splits for anything illegal. We may suspend or remove accounts that break these rules.

7. Third-party devices and services

Splits works with Apple Health, WHOOP and Oura. Your use of those products is governed by their own terms. We're not responsible for their availability or for the accuracy of the data they provide.

8. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent allowed by law, Splits won't be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, arising from your use of the app. Our total liability for any claim relating to Splits is limited to the amount you paid us in the past 12 months, if any.

9. Ending your use

You can stop using Splits and request deletion of your account at any time by emailing support@joinsplits.app. We may suspend or end your access if you break these terms.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. If we make meaningful changes, we'll update the date above and let you know in the app or by email. Continuing to use Splits after that means you accept the new terms.
